I always get an error while importing a GPX route. What can I do?

GPX import is a Motobit PREMIUM feature.

How to import a GPX route

1. Open the route planner in the app.
2. In the waypoint list, tap “Import GPX file”.
3. Select the GPX file on your smartphone.
4. Wait until the import is finished. Motobit then calculates the route.

Important: the import replaces the waypoints you have already planned in the route planner.

Why does the import fail?

In most cases the error happens when the route contains roads Motobit can’t route on, such as off-road tracks, gravel roads or ferries.

Motobit usually tries to find an alternative for these parts, but this isn’t always possible. To avoid the problem, open the GPX route in the app you used to create it, check for off-road sections and ferries and remove them.

Other causes:

• The file is too large. Split the route into several shorter files.
• No internet connection. The GPX file is processed on our servers, so you need a connection.
